Chad Clayton, Certified Protection Professional (CPP), has over twenty-five years of security industry experience and has been Board Certified in Security Management through ASIS International since 2004. He is currently the President and Owner of Security Management Solutions, Inc., a full-service protective services provider based in the Kansas City metropolitan area since 2009.
Chad, a United States Marine Corps (USMC) Veteran, has managed a wide variety of security projects for Fortune 500 corporations throughout the US, Mexico, Europe, and South America. He has provided executive protection services for a former Head of State, US Secretary of State, US Presidential candidates, sports celebrities, and entertainers at venues across the country. In addition, he has provided corporate executive protection, special event security, and managed a nationwide workplace violence prevention, response and management programs for a variety of clients. Chad is a certified instructor in workplace violence prevention and active shooter response with the Center for Personal Protection & Safety.
In 2005, Chad deployed and managed a tactical security team to secure Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, after evacuation due to hurricane Katrina’s destruction and the civil unrest that followed. He served as the senior on-site hospital representative and was the liaison with National Guard and various law enforcement agencies in protecting the hospital and its assets.
Chad is a 1993 graduate of Executive Security International’s advanced executive protection program and has an Associate in Arts Degree as well. He is an N.R.A certified Law Enforcement and Security Firearms Instructor in handgun and shotgun disciplines. In addition, Chad has conducted a variety of investigations and has hundreds of hours of advanced training in violence assessment, prevention, management, interviewing, interrogation, technical surveillance countermeasures, defensive tactics, and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design.
